Pete Bilderback

President, Board of Directors

Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Pete moved to Rhode Island in 2000 after living in New York City for seven years. Pete began volunteering for Arts Alive by creating set backdrops for plays such as “Bugsy Malone Jr.,” “Broadway Rules,” and “High School Musical Jr.” He joined the Board of Directors in 2015, and has served as Board President since 2016. In addition to his work with Arts Alive, he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Coalition Against Gun Violence. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Dickinson College, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from New York University. He has worked as an administrator in the Department of Physics at Brown University since 2001. Pete resides in Barrington with his wife, Marjorie, and their two children.
