High School Acting Masterclass

Dates: Thursday, October 29th – Thursday, January 21st (No class 11/26, 12/24 & 12/31) 

Time: Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm

Location: St. James Lutheran Church
                  49 Middle Hwy. Barrington

Grades: 9-12

Program Fee: $200

Description: This small-group advanced class is for High School students who want to refine their acting skills and raise the bar on their abilities and confidence. The class will involve exploring new plays through acting & script analysis, improvisation, audition monologues and advanced techniques. Students will also work on practical application of theatre skills such as handling Interviews in the professional arena. Plays will be read and explored as a group and will lead to a performance either live or videotaped. The Masterclass will be led by Dena Davis, Arts Alive’s Artistic Director. 

Additional Information: Masterclass will be held in-person with strict safety precautions adhered to including use masks and social distancing. Spaces will be limited. No experience necessary.

Super-Intensive, Fun and Educational

Offered throughout the year as well as non-school days, including school in-service and conference days, holidays, and school vacations.

Our theatre workshops provide opportunities for students in elementary and secondary school to work on specific areas of Performing Arts, including stage acting, dance for musical theatre, and playwriting.
